In short
Niko Rantala (moro@nikorantala.com) runs this site. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, embeds or third-party scripts. During a page change your browser keeps a small anonymous transition image in session storage for a few seconds, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA), which processes connection data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect them from abuse, for a limited period, as my processor under its Data Processing Addendum. Cloudflare also uses such data for its own network security under its privacy policy. Transfers outside the EEA rely on the EU standard contractual clauses and, while it remains valid, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie only if it has to challenge a suspicious request. Your browser may also send Cloudflare anonymous reports about failed connections (Network Error Logging).
If you email me, Cloudflare Email Routing relays the message without storing its content and keeps delivery metadata for a limited period. Google then stores it in my Gmail mailbox under its own privacy policy, and I keep our correspondence for as long as the contact you initiated needs it.
Your rights
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure site and answering your message (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You can ask me for access to, correction or erasure of your data, object to the processing and complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
